Tobi Bakre is a Nigerian actor, model, host, compere, and photographer. Tobi rose to fame after finishing up as a finalist in the Big Brother Naija (Season 3) reality TV show in 2018. In 2018, before entering the Big Brother house, we were contacted by Tobi Bakre to manage his overall brand positioning throughout his time in the house. He trusted us with his brand, as he would have no outside contact with the world for 85 days. Prior to entering the Big Brother house, we created imagery, photography of Tobi and some material to be used in his absence.
Our approach to this project was to think long term – we wanted to create opportunities for him to be able to leverage post-show. During this time, we designed and developed and executed storytelling and brand positioning for Tobi Bakre, navigating his target audience each week and creating opportunities for him to work with brands that were in alignment with his values, and focus as a public figure. We also designed a framework for his photography exhibition, as well as a thought leadership platform for him to give back to his digital community.
Tobi Bakre quickly became a fast growing brand, with a community that was dedicated to his growth throughout the period. He emerged as a finalist of the Big Brother Show. Upon leaving the show, we managed his day to day brand communications, negotiations, and general talent, for a period of 6 months, to allow for him to settle into his plans.
